Storyline:
Rose Hathaway is a dhampir, half-vampire and half-human, who is training to be a guardian at St Vladimir's Academy along with many others like her. There are good and bad vampires in their world: Moroi, who co-exist peacefully among the humans and only take blood from donors, and also possess the ability to control one of the four elements - water, earth, fire or air; and Strigoi, blood-sucking, evil vampires who drink to kill. Rose and other dhampir guardians are trained to protect Moroi and kill Strigoi throughout their education. Along with her best friend, Princess Vasilisa Dragomir, a Moroi and the last of her line, with whom she has a nigh unbreakable bond, Rose must run away from St Vladimir's, in order to protect Lissa from those who wish to harm the princess and use her for their own means.

I saw an early screening! It's pretty true to the book and I enjoyed the humor throughout the movie. It is definitely a must see for fans of the series and for those looking for a feel good, funny/romantic movie. I will be seeing this again and would recommend this to friends. Love all the actors. Zoey is such a kick@ss and Danila is such a hottie! A sequel is a must!! :D

I saw the movie yesterday at an advanced screening at Regal Cinemas and it was 100000x times better than i ever imagined it would be! VAMPIRE ACADEMY IS NOTHING LIKE TWILIGHT! It's HELLA FUNNY (Director of mean girls and writer of heathers DUHH) it has LOT'S OF ACTION, ROMANCE and so many more elements! It's sexy, it's brilliant, it's clever! MUST GO SEE IT!

The movie had too much dialogue which consisted of trend after trend. It was more of a movie for kids who are into the whole hashtag phase and "omgah! Jason replaced Heather with that B****?!" gibberish. I'm sure 12 year-olds would find this amusing and entertaining, but it wasn't for me.

I literally just got back from the theater and I have to say that it was amazing! Very few things were changed from the book to the screen which was really pleasing. The cast did an amazing job portraying their characters! The relationship between Dimitri and Rose was really well scripted and it just made me fangirl so hard during the movie. "Rose. Rose. My Rose." All of you who saw the movie know what I'm talking about ;) I am eagerly waiting for there to be an announcement claiming that a sequel is in the works!
Okay, I'm off to read the series again!
